The
Collection System Department is responsible for the
operation and maintenance of the various sizes of pipe that
convey wastewater from homes, businesses and public
buildings to the treatment plants. The department uses a
high pressure combination truck to clean sewer lines and
vacuum debris, TV cameras that televise the interior
condition of the sewer pipes, manhole spray equipment to
rehabilitate manholes, various construction equipment to dig
and replace damaged sewer lines and trenchless technology
methods of line repairs.
